Man Shot In Face In Harrisburg, Police Say

A man has been shot in the face and his attempted killer is being sought by the police following a 3 a.m. shooting on Friday, May 26, 2023, Harrisburg Bureau of Police announced around 4 p.m. that same day.

Michael E. Watlington is wanted in connection with the "life-threatening" shooting in the first block of Disbrow Street, according to police. 

When Harrisburg officers arrived they found the victim suffered from "a life-threatening gunshot wound to the face" and "immediately rushed (him) to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment," as stated in the police release. 

An investigation was launched and "Watlington was identified as the person responsible for the shooting," police said. 

He is wanted on charges of Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and various firearms offenses, according to the release.
